Meet Daisy our Very 1st Goat
We brought her & Dandy, our wether, home on 3/22/2022.
We were hooked & haven't looked back since.
How cute are the 6 boys born in October, 2025??
Hi! we are Vicki & Dave Wisniewski. We are the proud owners of 23 Acre Farm in Julian, NC. We have lived in NC for 20 years, but originally hail from the Chicago area. We are high school sweethearts who have been married for over 36 years and have 3 amazing kids, along with 2 fabulous daughters-in-law. All 3 kids graduated from UNC in very different fields--which is very fitting of them. Amanda, our oldest, is an oncology infusion nurse. Ty is the middle child and life has led him to call Boston home. He married the love of his life, Maura, and he works in analytics. The youngest, Peyton, is a BCBA (he works with autistic children). He & Sarah, his high school sweetheart, got married in October, 2024.
The name 23 Acre Farm has a combination of meanings. The obvious is that the farm is a total of 23 acres. We were also able to pay homage to Chicago, as many of our favorite athletes have worn the number 23 (Michael Jordan, Ryne Sandberg, Devon Hester). Using the number "23" was a great combination of our past, present & future.
We bought the farm in 2019, but have only lived on it since August, 2021 because we did some remodeling of the house. My goal/wish was to breed Nigerian Dwarf goats--Dave's is to grow plants. In February, 2022, I met our 1st 2 goats (Daisy & Dandy). I brought them home in March & added another 3 girls in May. The following January, I brought home a bottle baby buckling & another buckling followed shortly after. Since then the herd has varied in size due to birthing but I try to keep the core group to under 15 goats.
In addition to the goats, we have 1 very spoiled inside dog (Joby), 3 outside "barn" cats (Charlie, Bella & Paws), and 2 chickens (Punky & Friend).
The love of animals was been passed onto our kids. We are "grandparents" to 2 dogs (Remy & Goose) & 6 cats (Ducky, Bean, Sumara, Gus, Winnie & Cricket).
Thanks for allowing us to share a little about us!
